Like all X-Bolt 2 rifles, the Hunter Composite Stainless is built on a new receiver design with additional bolt guidance surface for smooth, fast cycling. Stainless steel construction minimizes the corrosive effects of weather. The bolt is also new with weight-saving spiral fluting and a new handle knob. The bolt assembly is treated with a silver nitride finish that is extremely resistant to corrosion.This new gun also has a sporter contour barrel, threaded M13x0.75, bedded action and free floated barrel. The DLX Trigger is a three-lever design that offers zero creep, zero take-up, and zero overtravel performance and comes preset from the factory at 3.5 pounds. (Adjustable down to 3.0 pounds.) The stand-out feature is, of course, the new Vari-Tech configurable stock.
